The Whimsy Dome wedding venue

As a nature lover I can’t imagine a more magical place to get married. This mature grove of trees in itself is majestic and the beautiful crystal clear river winding along just tops it off in a way that a man made version never could. Make it yours for the special day and it will show you the beauty it holds. Whether the eagles nested only a couple hundred feet away decide to fly overhead or if it’s one of the pileated woodpeckers with their jungle like calls. Every time we spend time in this forest it’s a new and unique experience.

Have you’re guests take a walk on the trail that encompasses the property and goes along the river or walk though the beautiful botanical garden. If you like the outdoors there is something for everyone. And for the bride and grooms group there is excellent fishing to be had( Wisconsin license works as it’s a boundary water), swimming in the water that’s any where from 6” - 12’ deep with a sandy and rocky bottom. Or kayak/float down the river to the camp ground(15min float) or from the bridge to the house( 2hr float) . Depending on the time of year the experience for every wedding will be different.

If the property isn’t special enough by itself then the Whimsy Dome is sure to top it off. Every bride and groomsmen group gets to stay in the Whimsy dome the weekend( or weekdays) of their event and will get to see the miraculous craftsmanship that goes into it. We also know there are some Sauna connoisseurs out there and they are welcome to use the custom built sauna as well. Oh did we mention there is a tropical like greenhouse as well that is filled to the brim with all sorts of special plants. All we ask is that you treat our home like it was yours.

We are constantly working on the property and will continue to improve it. One exciting project is the wildlife pond in the garden wich will have an actively working waterfall along with an aqueduct filled with special bog plants. This will take the water feature total up to 3 now:).
